National Quality Agenda
Early Years Learning Framework
The development of the Early Years Learning Framework is an integral component of the Australian Government’s National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care, being progressed collaboratively with state and territory governments through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) early childhood reform agenda. It will also underpin universal access to early childhood education to ensure delivery of nationally-consistent and quality early childhood education across sectors and jurisdictions.
The implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework will commence in early childhood settings from July 2009 as announced byThe Parliamentary Secretary for Early Childhood Education and Child Care, Maxine McKew.
